Piratesdragon (2003)

"Pirate" is available for adoption. He is an exceptionally handsome chestnut TB gelding, approximately 16hh+.  Pirate raced just
twice, earning $700, and was purchased from a dealer in January 2008 to prevent him from shipping to slaughter. Pirate spent
several months in full training under saddle in 2009, both in the arena and on trails, with SCTR and with a former adopter.
Despite an old bowed tendon, which has caused some "sesamoid drop" on his left front, he has been completely sound for us -
as our veterinarian predicted he would be (report available on request) - however he should never be jumped or barrel raced.
Pirate has a terrific work ethic, and wants and needs to be worked "full-time", a minimum of five days per week i.e. pulling him
out on weekends after allowing him several days' of being passive (and hoping he'll be "good") is not going to work for him.
He is a forward, and very fun, trail horse for advanced riders that want to hit the trails or work in the arena at least five days
per week.
Please fill out an Adoption Application and we will contact you about providing a home for this lovely horse.
Pirate is located at our training center in Yucaipa, California.
